Mädchenrealschule St. Ursula. Lenggries. Germany
Our school is situated in Lenggries, a town south of Munich. It is located at the foothills of the Alps. We have a mountain for skiing which is called Brauneck and many trails. Lenggries is also a famous health resort with particularly good air.
An old castle is home of our school - 'Schloss Hohenburg'. It is a private catholic school for girls only. There are three types of school in the castle: A secondary modern school (in which I work), a grammar school and a specialised secondary school.
In our school we carry out a project called 'Kompass' with the pupils of class five (age ten/eleven). With 'Kompass' we want to discover the strength of each individual pupil and support it.
Taking part in this project would be very interesting for our students as the girls will have to have a closer look at the men’s perspective of things and at jobs that are usually known as jobs for men. They will also be able to study the role of women
in other countries.
